I’ve had a lot of requests for my Halloween Banana Bread recipe so I thought I would toss it out here for those who want it. I have no idea where it originally came from but I know it is easy to make and my son will eat it so that makes it a win-win in my book!
My disclaimer on every recipe: I’m all about keeping things fun but SIMPLE so if you’re looking for what seems to be the normal 16 page recipe post on most sites, you better skip this.
Dawneeskittle’s Banana Bread
Makes 1 Loaf of Banana Bread
Preheat your oven to 350
Mix everything below together good (but not too much, lol) in the order listed and stick it in a greased loaf pan for 55 minutes. I use a hand mixer to make it easier.
1/2 Cup of Butter – I use the real stuff
1 Cup of Sugar
4 Ripe Bananas
1 1/2 Cups of All Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract (I measure this by filling up the vanilla lid)
For a holiday look use a few drops of food coloring to change the color. See my scary Frankenstein banana bread?

I like to buy decorating supplies from the Dollar Tree. No need to go overboard and no need to be perfect. The key is to have FUN and make your kids think you are the stupidest but best mama out there.
